Since I've already replaced all the ancillary gauges with digital units and the original tach is notoriously bouncy, I decided to get some Dakota Digital Odyssey Series II instruments - the speedo and tach. This is more important than usual because I'm converting the car to use the Ford EDIS distributorless ignition system which probably won't work with the original Jaguar tach. This is the Odyssey Series II tach, with optional black ring, installed in the original tachometer casing. Drops right in with only a few modifications to the back of the case and all the integrated functions (turn signal indicator, rear defrost indicator) still work.
